Celtics @ 76ers Betting Preview

Finally got a win last night! Although I had two losses to start the night. But I feel like now is the time the tide turns. Now is when I go on a roll and start a nice winning streak and finish the NBA regular season strong. With that said let’s take a look at today’s picks.

My first pick for the day is the Celtics. They are 6.5 point underdogs on the road against the 76ers. The 76ers are on fire and I know first hand betting against them in their last two contests. The Celtics are the complete opposite. They are coming off 2 straight losses where they gave up 20+ point leads and lost Kyrie Irving to an injury in the process. After the game Marcus Morris called out the team’s toughness and willingness to play as a team. Adding he hasn’t had any fun like he sees teams in the rest of the league due to the selfish nature of his teammates. Throughout this season when the Celtics have criticized each other through the media it has worked to some degree. Kyrie had recently made comments about the commitment it takes to be an excellent team. Their following game was a home win against the Raptors. Now they are facing a 76ers team that they have been beating for the better part of two seasons. I would even go as far to say that the Celtics have had a mental edge over the 76ers especially after last year’s playoff series. This 76ers team is different than last years but I still see the same result tonight. Brad Stevens has continually out-coached Brett Brown and I see that trend continuing. The Celtics are far and away better defensively than the Lakers and Nuggets. The Celtics, coming off a recent 9-1 stretch, have proven they have the talent to play with anybody in the league. Even without Kyrie Irving. Their issue has been using their collective talents for the betterment of the team. The Celtics have reached a crucial point in the season. They will either turn things around and start playing like a team or they will continue to self implode. I think it will be the former and it starts with a win in Philly tonight.
