The Lakers are coming off their last second outright win in Boston and the Sixers are coming off their win and cover over the Nuggets at home the next night. Hand up I was wrong betting against them there. I thought they would need time to gel. I still stand by that. They had one good game on a Friday night at home. Now they have a much tougher test in my opinion. LeBron on a Sunday national TV game. Throughout the years LeBron led teams have found himself in these spots playing great teams as underdogs on the road. For some reason he always comes up a winner. The Lakers next game in Atlanta will probably be a closer game than this one. LeBron always shows up on Sundays in front of the national TV audience. Especially after the big win they had the other night, this team will be playing together and the rumors of the younger players not liking LeBron will be dispelled.
The Sixers were on fire the other night. They collectively shot 10-22 from three point range. JJ Reddick shot 6-7 from 3 and had 34 points. That will not repeat against the Lakers. They are much longer and quicker on the defensive end than the Nuggets. The Nuggets also had much more fatigue playing 5 games in 8 days. New Lakers forward Mike Muscala is playing his former team today. I think he will have a significant contribution against his former team. But this game really comes down to LeBron. Today we will have a vintage LeBron performance. I like the Lakers to get the outright win today.
