I’m not going to run from my prediction that did not come true. That pick looked bad from the beginning. The Colts had 4 straight 3 and outs to open the game while the Chiefs scored TDs on their first 2 drives and a field goal the next. The blocked punt touchdown was just enough for any Colts fans or backers to get reeled back in. Their drive before halftime looked extremely promising. Then Adam Vinatieri hit the upright and missed the shortest field goal kick of his career. The middle of the Colts defense was ripped to shreds. The injuries to Mike Mitchell and Malik Hooker made a huge difference as the Colts could not stop the run or pass. The Chiefs converted 3 easy 4th and 1s with runs right up the middle for about 6 yards each. The Colts were also able to have an effective running game, averaging 6.2 yards per carry, but fell behind early which did not allow them to utilize the run as they would have wanted. The Colts defense was also getting killed by offsides penalties. The Colts had a total of 10 penalties for 70 yards, 3 penalties directly resulted in Chiefs first downs. The Colts also finished the game going 0-9 on 3rd downs. The Chiefs really just dominated this game from start to finish.
So with the Colts season being over, the ride is over also. Even though the ride only lasted for 3 weeks it was a good time for a short time. I still have the Patriots and the way my luck works, today’s Patriots game is going to be an absolute blowout. The Chargers will have no chance, and I will regret not letting it ride with them instead. That is how life works sometimes. I still hold out hope that one day I will get on a run that ends my homelessness. Until then its back to the grind.
