Toronto Raptors @ Boston Celtics -2 O/U 218
The Celtics will be looking to win their 4th straight home game as 2 point favorites against the Raptors. The Raptors will be getting Serge Ibaka and Danny Green back but it is still a tough ask to defeat the Celtics at home on a Friday night. The Celtics have a real home court advantage which plays into this line. The Raptors currently average more points, rebounds and assists per game and beat the Celtics in their first matchup. The Celtics are still favored because they play much better at home. The first game was played in Toronto and was very close before the Raptors pulled away at the end. I see this game being similar but with the Celtics pulling away at the end and covering the number.
Miami Heat @ Indiana Pacers -5 O/U 215
These teams played just a week ago in Miami and the Pacers won 110-102. I expect a similar outcome here. The Pacers are overall a much better team than the Heat and shoot much better at home. I expect the Pacers to bounce back here after their last loss in Houston. The Heat have lost 6 of their last 9 and I think their struggles continue here. The Pacers are better than the Heat in every statistical category except for offensive rebounding. They average more points, assists and less turnovers while playing at a slower pace. I like the Pacers to cover this game easily.
Utah Jazz @ Philadelphia 76ers -3 O/U 217
This will be the home debut for Jimmy Butler and they will be looking to stay undefeated at home. The Jazz are looking to rebound after a 50 point loss in Dallas. How an NBA team can only score 68 points today boggles my mind. The sixers are coming off a game they appeared to have won only to let the Magic go on a run and win the game on a late 3 pointer. The sixers won’t end the season undefeated at home but they’re not going to lose this game tonight. I’m not sure what team’s records are after 50 point losses but I’m not sure that can be fixed in one game. It’s not even that they lost by 50, they only scored 68 points. They were held to 22 second half points. This all came against the Mavericks, who are in last in their division. I think the 76ers cover this spread easily.
